I leave for 4 years (since June 2006), and I find out that Chaos, Loki, and Iris all combine to make one server, Ymir. This might be due to the declining iRO population, but I can see that it was for the better. It’s nice to see everyone gathered in one place.
The two guilds that are still around even after 6 years (at least) are Denuo Convena and Windfall. Crazy. You think they would’ve fallen apart by now, but the rivalry between the two probably keeps them alive.
Well, suffice to say, I guess I’m more or less back to iRO. The only difference now is that my old guild no longer exists, the friends I used to have aren’t there anymore, and all my equipment from back then is gone. I liquidated pretty much what I had way back when I quit the first time to donate to the guild I used to belong to. We were a small guild, but it was fun. There were some good and nutty people there. Well yeah, so now, I’m left with bare bones equipment from what I didn’t fork over which returned a pretty good investment with the inflation. Problem is that everything else inflated too. C’mon, Raydrics used to be only 10 mil at most. What the heck are they 70 ~ 90 mil these days? Eluniums, they were rising back then in price too, sure. But to rise from 67 k to 250 ~ 300k each? That’s criminal. Well, some old loot that were completely useless are giving me a decent cash flow that I’m taking advantage of, so it’s not all bad. This way, I can get up to speed in fairly short amount of time.
I honestly don’t know if I should even be playing right now since I’m deciding to take the PCAT in the next couple of months, but for now, I’ll enjoy this. So, let me introduce you to the team.
——
Name: Dark Cabbit Tomoe AKA DCT
Job: Swordman
Build: ???
The original character. Originally named DCT, but the character limits are in place these days and he had to take the long name. He looks like a noob and is one. Built poorly with no knowledge of builds, he has been deleted, remade, and deleted time and again. Now, he’s been revived yet again though whether or not he’ll see a decent level is a different story.
Name: Rukaroa
Job: Champion
Build: PvM Hybrid
The main character and most advanced out of everyone. His main strength are combos to take advantage of his high agility. Spirit comes later. Due to lacking in cash, he has volunteered (regretting it) his equipment for the betterment of the team. Whether or not he’ll get something eventually to replace the equipment is a different story…
Name: Haruka Kakono
Job: Blacksmith
Build: Battle Forger?
The intrepid merchant added to handle the finances. Rather than spending time leveling to be able to make equipment, he sells stuff. Name a commodity item that people will readily shell out cash for, he’ll sell it and sell it fairly reasonably. The goal is to sell, and he’ll do whatever he has to to make it sell. He’s also thinking of ways to earn income faster.
Name: Shape Shifter
Job: Rogue
Build: Gank and Scribble
He was made mostly for fun and scribbles. Not a serious character at all, but he has what it takes to fend for himself. His game is to get loot fast with minimal effort. Because of this, he’s become Haruka’s lackey and the butt monkey of his many money schemes. Just don’t take his heal clip away. You don’t want to see him cry ;_;
Name: Haru Itsumi
Job: Gunslinger
Build: All-Around
Another character meant for fun and the love of guns. He’s also the gender bent version of a semi-original character based Rukaroa’s non-official child when he was married. (Still is married by the way though the wife is more or less out on an adventure.) Both parents are monks, but somehow, this kid became rebellious (or not) and became a gunslinger. Watch out for that shotgun when the ASPD gets decent enough to spam it. It hurts like crazy.

So that’s the team. If anyone out there plays iRO on Ymir, I’m usually on from 9 am to 12 pm CST whenever I work. If I have loot, I vend it for the rest of the day. If anyone wants to meet up, I’d be more than happy to. If anyone wants to donate to help me out, I’d be glad to accept it.
See ya around.

Oh how nostalgic
