Inaba Vol. 1

Mmm....Udon.

Just got my copy of “Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth” yesterday, so I figured I’d tell a little about it.

Small book, big box.

First thing’s first, I didn’t expect this package to be so big. Granted, the Udonge figure came with it, so I guess it was to be expected.

More Udon cover.

Opening it up, we reveal that the cover for Inaba Vol.1 is…Udonge in what looks to be udon. Or nabe. Either way, she’s ready to eat.

Quit staring you pervs.

And here’s the back cover that feature the drawn figure in several 90 degree angles.

Arata is a happy guy. And ZUN IS beer.

In the inside cover, we have author and artist introductions and the only mention of the series title for the books. Just what did I go through with the pain of editing all those titles from the magazine scans?

Come back with that, Tewi!

Gotta love those rabbits.

Removing the sleeve, we see the true front and back cover of the book.  (I think the sleeve is better.)

Those introductions in the magazine scans, all one page!

Introduction page! In full color! Much better that those side panel ones that are normally used for the magazine.

WrigBug End

The book ends on Chapter 15 with no Comiket specials as far as I could see when skimming through it. With that in mind, my speculation is that the series will end at either 30 or 45 chapters.

Someone scan this part.

After the 15th Chapter, we have an extra chapter made for the book release. Those extras are nice little tidbits, I have to admit.

More of the extra.

Last of the extra.

And the rest of the pages of the extra chapter. I expect to see these soon ^_^

The box the figure is in. Let's open it up.

Okay, enough of the book. What’s in the box? The box is the same size as the book plus more depth. This figure has got to be pretty decently sized. This is my first figure by the way since I’m more of a book and card person.

Tiny.

…say what? Oh well, can’t complain, but that sure is a lot of empty space just for it.

Udon and base, ready to be served.

A figure must come with a base. Even though Udonge can stand well on her own, this plate will be where she stays.

GATTAI!

The results of putting them together.

Tiny, ain't she?

Size comparisons for those curious. And now for some obligatory angled shots.

Obligatory figure photos.

Spin~

The hair touches the base for balance.

Side side side view.

And that’s pretty much it.

Udonge's permanent residence.

This is where she’ll be housed during her stay in my room.

And that’s it about Inaba Vol.1. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series as well as the other books.

  1. God I keep her in the same spot :) Right front of me.
